Hampton Collection Hampton 5 Defra Approved - Ecodesign Ready (2022) - 5kw Wood Burning Stove - 7 Year Guarantee - Black Hampton 5 Defra Approved - Ecodesign Ready (2022) - 5kw Wood Burning Stove - 7 Year Guarantee - Black

The Defra Approved Hampton 5 is one of the most up to date and cleanest wood burning stoves sold in the UK. It has been tested and approved to meet the new Ecodesign requirements that will be mandatory for all stoves by 2022, making this a stove for now and for the future.

This model not only meets but exceeds the government's tough requirements by some distance; many stoves do not pass the test at all. All test results have been carried out by Kiwa Gastec in Cheltenham, UK - a leader in their field.  Find out more about the Ecodesign scheme at stoveindustryalliance.com.

The TechnologyAbout this Woodburning Stove

The Hampton 5 boasts some of the lowest combined readings of NOx, CO and dust of any wood burning stove sold in the UK. In response to the goverment's initiatives to lower such emissions from wood burning stoves, you can rest assured that you have one of the cleanest stoves for sale in the UK. This unrivalled clean burn has been achieved by the quality engineering exhibited in all Hampton models. All bodies are made from thick steel plate that is perfectly folded and welded together, ensuring no air can leak into the stove.

The hidden gem of this fire is its internal shell - effectively another stove inside the stove, where air is drawn in from the stove's rear, fed between these two layer of steel and precisely disbursed over the fire at the rear, through a series of holes inside the chamber. Having the air introduced high up in chamber is an effective way of re burning the initial smoke and pollutants created by the fire. The air that is not dispuresd through these holes speeds up as it rises over the fire and is released like a curtian of air over the glass. This heating effect speeds the air up and is the most effective way of keeping the glass clean. In our attached video you can see the cutain of air decend on the glass as the vent is opened. Practical and truly wonderful to watch. The Hampton 5 is a woodburning only stove therefore does not require a multi-fuel grate or ash pan as wood loves to burn on the base. The stove is however lined with thick 30mm vermiculite boards that protect the stoves shell and its internal steel baffle is removable for sweeping. Under the stove is the simple push pull leaver that gives an incredibly accurate degree of control over the fire as the vent plate is mechanically attached to the body. The Hampton has a 30mm thick virgin ore cast iron door that helps retain and slowly relase the heat into the room in conjunstion with the stove thick 10mm thick steel top and 5mm thick steel body. Going into the door is the stoves unique hand made twist handle with wooden leaver. As with all parts of the Hampton they are well designed and engineered but not over complicated. Too often stoves have over complicated system that do not stand the test of time and can be incredibly expensive and complicated to fix. Ecosy+ confidently offer a 7 year warranty on this product.

Crystal Clear GlassClean Burn

As mentioned in the technology section the air is drawn into the fire low down at the stoves rear. The air races up and over the stoves chamber increasing in speed as it travels until it is unvailed and drops like a curtain over the stoves glass. This can be seen in action on the video attached at the start of this listing. This system is proven to be a very effective way of keeping the glass clean and clear of smoke stains providing the wood burnt is well seasoned.

Optional ExtrasClean Burn

This unit comes with two optional extras. The first being a heat shield that reduces the distances to combustibles from 375mm to 300mm, perfect for free standing installs. The second is a verticle rear flue box that makes certain installations a lot easier and also gives the user a perfectly flat top, perfect for cooking. The Verticle rear flue box only  protrudes 160mm whereas a 90 degree bend added to a stoves rear protrudes a minimum of 230mm, allowing the user to use the rear flue option without having the stove stick too far out in the room.

7 Year GuaranteeWoodburning Stove Guarantee

This covers the stove's body and not the internal perishable parts like grates and fire bricks. Guarantee is activated when the stove is invoiced. 6 digit number on the top of each invoice is the warranty number. For stove to be covered it must be installed by a HETAS engineer or signed off by building control.
