Have been using this defra stove for the past 3 months and its brilliant, we have a 14 ft by 18 ft lounge, this little 5kw stove is more than plenty enough, just burning wood only.
We leave door open to let heat out to the kitchen and up the stairs to bedrooms, and wow does it do the job, cant believe how good it is. Just got new combi boiler installed, and we are only going to use it for water heating, because of this little stove it really does warm the entire house.
Plus you can get all the spare parts you will need from stove world, and I have purchased quite a few, to keep this brill little stove spot on, not that they where needed, just want this stove for ever.

Bought the Ottawa 5 Defra stove on the recommendation of Darren from Dalisa Fireplaces, Northumberland. Glad we took his advice. Brilliant stove. Worth every penny.
This is the second winter that we have used the Ottawa 5kw stove and we are delighted with it. We have a 24ft x 17ft lounge and the stove kept this room comfortable last winter when the central heating failed during several days of frosty weather. The build quality is excellent - equally as good as some bid brand names that we looked at before buying this stove, it is economical to run, and very good value for money. What more would you want!
Could not be more happier with this stove! We have had it in for over a month and so pleased with it. Stove world were very helpful over the phone and purchasing and delivery was 10/10. The stove kicks out a lot of heat and heats up very quickly! So glad we didn't purchase an expensive up market stove when this does just the job.

After reading the reviews and talking to the chap who installed it for us. This was the stove. We have now had it installed last week couldn't be more pleased. Heats up the living room really quick and also warms the rest of the home. At the moment its snowing outside and we still have not put the central heating on as this is doing the job...
When we ordered the gentleman i spoke to was only too happy to sort out a delivery date that we were able to be in when it arrived. It came well packed.
Would highly recommend this stove...
We chose the Defra 5kw Ottowa stove from the reviews on this page as well as the price and the contemporary look of the stove. We had a few questions before we purchased and Stove World were so helpful. We then needed to change the delivery date as the installation guys we used were running behind and again this was no issue. We have had it installed for 3 days and as first timers we had lots of questions, the customer service so far has been fantastic, answering my questions really quickly. Thanks so much. We have had our Ottawa stove for just about a year and despite the nay sayers we know, it has been brilliant. Lyn often says "I love my fire" and it is without doubt the best £360 We have spent. For complete novices it was very easy to light. It's economical with wood and incredibly hot. I reall cant see why you would want to spend any more on a "big brand" when this fire does everything they do, more cost effectively and easily

It is so simple and neat and easy to use, and keeps our 19ft x 12ft double aspect living room in a draughty 1920s house really warm. We haven’t even touched our central heating yet. Our stove already feels like a member of the family. Thank you again.
When I originally started looking for a log burner my installer recommended looking at reviews and and visiting showrooms and also stoveworld for the best prices. I'd already seen the ottowa 5kw and really liked the look of it, after reading reviews on many stoves I kept going back to the ottowa, easy ordering and communication as I requested delivery for my day off. Delivered as arranged and beautifully packaged! I've just had it installed and although not yet used other than when installer tested (on a very hot day!) he was impressed with the stove and even more so the price!! I'm so pleased it looks fantastic and I honestly can't wait to use when it gets cooler! Thank you stoveworld.
