I'm going to update my review after being determined to fathom this stove out! So, 1) overnight burn = no chance unless you sleep less than six hours. This is the maximum I've managed to keep it going for on one load of fuel. 2) Ignore the instructions provided! Don't leave the main door open when lighting, it smokes like hell and your alarms will go off! Keep the bottom ash pan door open until it's at least 300f. Then keep the spin wheel fully open till at least 400f. Never close more than 1 1/4 turns from locked. 3) Locked is debatable. The spin wheel is not engineered straight. Get it to the point where it bites, then turn back 1 1/4 turns. 4) Keep the lever always to the left to keep the glass clean. 5) Optimum burning is between 400-550f Maintain this heat at all times. 6) Light with 3 firelighters and plenty of kindling. Getting up to heat asap is important. Follow these rules and you'll get the best from the stove. Hope this helps?

So disappointed with this stove. On unpacking, one of the side bricks was missing. Stoveworld were brilliant about it and sent a replacement by 48 hour courier.

Using the stove is something else. Our other stove is a Clearview at almost 4 times the price and we didn't expect like for like. But we struggle to keep this stove burning. We use the same barn dried, decent logs in both stoves, so we know there is no issue with the logs as they burn beautifully in the Clearview. With this, we have to keep it blazing or it just goes out! The glass blackens and we can't fathom a way to keep it clean during use. We can't even turn it down to get the beautiful flame patterns mentioned because as soon as we close it down at all, it goes out. As for an overnight burn, absolutely no chance.

We've tried going through the instructions several times, they aren't the greatest and are quite poorly written. I wish we knew how others get such great results from it, but we simply cannot recommend.

Our “Crofter” stove was delivered on Monday, fitted yesterday afternoon and crackling away at 6pm! I was impressed by the easy ordering process, delivery service and the stove itself. It took a lot of research before we settled on the Crofter. We made the right choice for sure and this was endorsed by Chris, our HETAS installer from ‘We are on fire Stoves’ who fitted it in minutes. He liked the way you can easily level the feet (a feature not present on some Stoves he has fitted that cost over £1000!) and the build quality is as good as Stoves that cost 3 or 4 times as much! He recommends this stove as well although we made the decision on our own research. Easy to light for the first time and works well. Can’t wait for a really cold evening so we can get it roaring away!
Would recommend this stove without hesitation. Incredible value for money and it looks great in our newly refurbished fireplace.

Bought this stove for our 17th century kitchen big fire place. Great look, great size, great quality, easy to set up. My wife is very pleased too.

We are a stove sales and installation company based in Bridlington East Yorkshire. 90 percent of the stoves we sell and fitt come from Stoveworld uk. We have probably fitted most of the stoves advertised and so far we havnt found a bad one amongst them. I am reluctant to leave this review because when i find a stove that really stands out from the rest i like to keep it to myself. But this little beauty deserves a special mention. You automatically think this is to cheap to be any good but you couldnt be more wrong. The pictures dont do it any justice. It is exceptionally well made and outstanding quality, it also performs as well as any stove well over its price tag. I have to say that this is probably the best stove i have fitted under £500 and as a stove fitter i wouldnt hesitate to recommend it.
