Eco Design Approved

This fantastic Newburn range has been designed by our manufacturing partner Ecosy+ stoves of Hampshire before being sent off to the renowned Kiwa Gastec to be rigorously tested. These tests showed that all Newburn models exceed the very tough SIA Eco Design Approved regulations. In addition to this, they have also been approved for use in smoke free zones (Defra Approved). Exceeding the Ecodesign test is a true mark of a quality stove; inferior products that are not well engineered will fail often fail this test. Ecosy+ stoves, along with the other key UK stove brands is a member of the SIA and submits documentation proving that the technical claims we display, are legitimate. About the stove and how it works

This modern looking compact unit will suit a huge range of UK homes and fireplace designs. Its 30mm thick curved door gives the stove a robust look and feel. The unit comes as standard with a cool to touch black handle but you do have the option to for the even more modern chrome handle.

This well engineered stove has an impressive secondary/tertiary burn and twin baffle design. The two work in tandem to recycle the initial smoke produced by the fire and continue to burn it off before it is expelled from the stove. The stoves high efficiency (over 83%) and low particulate output, demonstrate this is working well. The stove is of a compact design yet boasts a large heat resistant, ceramic SCHOTT glass front that gives an uninterrupted view of the fire which is on the tick list of almost every stove buyer. The stoves high speed, pre-heated air-wash system ensures that warm air is rushing onto the glass, helping to keep it free of smoke stains.

Construction

The Newburn range of stoves are steel bodied units with thick cast iron doors; the preferred constriction method of modern day stoves. The Newburn has an incredibly thick, 8mm top and fully seam welded body. Its thick top helps radiate heat long after the stove has cooled down. Each stove has a fully vermiculite lined inner shell that helps protect the stove's body and increase its life span. The fuel itself burns on a mineral cast iron grate that includes a fully folded ash pan with tool. All Newburn stoves have top and rear flue outlets and adjustable feet for levelling out uneven surfaces.

5 Year Guarantee

This covers the stove's body and not the internal perishable parts like grates and fire bricks. Guarantee is activated when the stove is invoiced. 6 digit number on the top of each invoice is the warranty number. For stove to be covered it must be installed by a HETAS / OFTEC engineer or signed off by building control.

DEFRA Approved

This version of the Newburn has been rigorously tested and approved to burn wood in smoke controlled zones. Defra approved stoves with 5" flue outlets, like this one, can also be installed with a 5" liner. The Defra approval has been achieved by factory fitting a mechanical stop to prevent secondary air closure. This can be removed prior to install if you do not require or want a Defra approved stove.

OptionsWoodburning Stove Construction

1. Direct air feed box - This box bolts to the stove's air inlet and makes it a room sealed stove, perfect for new builds. A direct air feed pipe can connect to this box and draw in air directly from the outside. The spigot on the box is 80mm - (Pipe itself not included but linked here ) https://www.stoveworlduk.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=714&search=direct+air

2. The stove comes as standard with a black "cool touch" handle and chrome fittings. We also offer a chrome handle with chrome fittings for an additional charge.

3. Ceramic glass is not covered under the guarantee for any stove on the market. Ceramic glass is fully heat resistant but will break if struck with a log, or similarly hard object. This glass is expensive, but for a small fee we are offering to guarantee it for a full year. This covers any accidental chips or cracks and photographic evidence will be required. This covers one claim only, not multiple breakages.

Why Are We So Cheap?Cheap Woodburning Stoves

This is a common question we get asked and we understand why people wonder how it can be done at such a good price. We are very unique in the way we operate, as we occupy the whole supply chain through the brands we own. Opposed to only selling to the brands to trade we primarily choose to sell direct to the end user at a trade price. This completely cuts out any middle men and gives the end consumer direct contact with the people who build them. We can stock over 7000 stoves at any one time and ship direct to the end user with no showrooms. We always suggest prospective buyers take a look at our glowing feedback that currently has over 7000 positive comments on our stoves and stove related products.

The Hampton 5 stove has been awarded the clearSkies 5 rating

ClearSkies Rating 5

The highly prized clearSkies 5 mark of excellence tells you that no stove is kinder to the environment. It is an independently assessed endorsement that your stove exceeds all of the latest UK regulations. We fully support the government's EcoDesign directive to ensure all stoves comply with strict environmental measures.

Laboratory Tested

Any stove that has a clearSkies accreditation has been demonstrated to meet scrupulous safety standards for carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions as well as environmental pollution rules that limit the emission of particulate matter (PM) and organic gaseous compounds (OGC). And that's just the lowest of the clearSkies ratings!

Exceeds All Standards

The Newburn 5 has been awarded the highest possible clearSkies mark. The Number 5 tells you it is approved by Defra, the goverment's Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs. Furthermore, it has been tested under laboratory conditions to be even more environmentally friendly than EcoDesign stoves. A rating of 4 means reducing CO, PM, OGC and NOx by a factor of 15% better than the EcoDesign pass mark. And the rating of 5 indicates an additional 15% environmental improvement. So you can feel confident that your new stove has been designed and built for a sustainable, greener future.
