We’ve had our stove for about 18 months now and can see that the brick lining gradually breaks down through use.
We imagine we may replace the lining at the end of each season or possibly every two years.
The bricks are very straight forward to fit are a very snug fit. The stove looks new again.
If you’re having your chimney swept professionally then you could ask them to fit the new bricks on completion.

Love this fire, great quality, not flimsy and good heavy weight.
Fast delivery although it was more expensive due to postcode. Blows my mind Delivery more expensive north of Glasgow.
Would definitely recommend.

Great customer service, the delivery was prompt and trouble free. The stove is now in place waiting for the flue to be fitted, so we can't comment on its useability although it looks the part so expecting it to work well. We had just one concern with the design of the 'feet'. There are 4 adjustable, levelling bolts which I reckon, with the point loading on our porcelain hearth could possibly crack or break tiles. One solution would be to order a base unit which seems to have a flat base plate. Instead, I engineered a 3/4" base plate to the exact size of the unit's feet. Cost me £23 instead of £300 for the base unit. The last stove I fitted was in Australia and it had solid, flat steel sheet as standard, to spread the weight of over 100kg on a tiled hearth. It worked well and there were no problems. Picture shows the extra base plate which I sprayed with matt heat-resistant paint and baked in our oven to toughen. Blends in nicely.

I was recommended the Ecosy Elk stove by a local installer, who highly rated it.
From ordering to delivery I was kept informed and on arrival day (2-3 days) it arrived on a pallet which was transported to my garage. The packaging is substantial so not much chance of it being damaged.
Once installed it was easy to light and looked lovely in my small fireplace. We look forward to many cosy evenings in front of it.

I absolutely love my new fire which has helped me cut down on my gas central heating. It looks lovely, is simple to use and clean, and chucks out a good amount of clean heat. It’s not so heavy so can be moved if needed. Everyone that’s seen it has been impressed and I think the price is very reasonable. A winner for me, 10/10.
