This hearth extension is perfect for people who have an existing fireplace and hearth but do not have the required 300mm of hearth in front of their selected fire. The hearth simply sits in front of your current hearth to make up the additional distance. These 12mm thick tempered glass hearths are designed to sit on any surface, including wood flooring and carpet. All you need to do is ensure your stove is approved not to exceed 100°C on the base (this should be in the technical specification of the stove you are purchasing).
