Design And Performance 

The Elk with Stand is a masterpiece of balance, blending high efficiency with everyday practicality. Designed for stove enthusiasts, experts, and connoisseurs, it is easy to light, effortless to control, and exceptionally economical. Built for durability, its parts are robust and perfect for all-day use. The Elk’s aesthetic combines a refined, tactile elegance with a rugged toughness, showcasing quality in every detail. Its modern yet uncomplicated design features beautiful brass fittings and thoughtful touches like a wooden air control handle. The stove’s twin-body system draws in air and channels it over the fire, promoting efficient combustion and re-burning smoke for cleaner, longer-lasting heat. The baffle and air system combine to create a tumbling effect that can be seen in the videos. This is key to keeping heat in the chamber and pushed into the room. This model comes with a stand which doubles as a log store and adds height and presence to the stove. It's also available without a stand.

Last but not least, the Elk with Stand boasts an often overlooked feature that can greatly enhance everyday use: a unique clip-in single-baffle design. This makes the stove far more forgiving than most, allowing for easier cleaning while minimising the risk of smoke escaping when the door is opened. Crystal Clear Glass

The Elk with Stand includes a unique high speed air-wash system. Air races up and over the stove's chamber, increasing in speed as it travels until it is unveiled and drops like a curtain over the stove's glass. This can be seen in action on the video attached at the start of this listing. This system is proven to be a very effective way of keeping the glass clean and clear of smoke stains, provided the wood burnt is well seasoned.

Heat Output Range

The Elk has a 5kw nominal output which can make installation a lot easier, as no air brick is required. However, it benefits from a 3.8kw to just under 7.3kw range, meaning this stove can be suitable for a large number of spaces from small to large.

• Option: Ceramic glass is not covered under the guarantee for any stove on the market. Ceramic glass is fully heat resistant but will break if struck with a log, or similarly hard object. This glass is expensive, but for a small fee we are offering to guarantee it for a full year. This covers any accidental chips or cracks and photographic evidence will be required. This covers one claim only, not multiple breakages

10 Year Guarantee

This covers the stove's body and not the internal perishable parts like grates and fire bricks. Guarantee is activated when the stove is invoiced. 6 digit number on the top of each invoice is the warranty number. For stove to be covered it must be installed by a HETAS / OFTEC engineer or signed off by building control.

Stove Construction

The Elk with Stand is a hybrid stove, and its body is constructed from quality Q235B carbon steel that has been chosen for its plasticity, toughness and weld-ability. The door is made from very thick mineral cast iron that helps retain the heat and slowly release it into the room. Having a cast iron door also enables us to add features like the shallow curves on the top and bottom. In addition, the grate is also made from thick mineral iron, and the fittings are solid and finished in brass. The stove weighs a massive 163kg.
