The Cambridge is a versatile cast iron insert that not only gives you the ability to create a striking feature within most fireplace surrounds but it can also be used to accommodate a dedicated gas fire or a real, open fire to burn wood or coal.
The Cambridge is supplied with a tapered cast iron back section and would require installation in to a conventional chimney breast when opting for the gas or solid fuel fire.
This particular model is finished with highlighted bars and raised edges (as shown in images). Overall outer dimensions of the Cambridge are 940mm x 940mm (37") making it compatible to be fitted behind all fire surrounds with standard leg opening dimensions.
The current set up is for wood / solid fuel and includes a grate but could be adapted for gas. However, this is not something we offer or sell.
