Venice 56" Marble Fire Surround

Bring the charm of a bygone era into your home with the Rome Marble Fire Surround, part of our hand-picked, carefully selected collection of fireplaces. Inspired by authentic Georgian design, this elegant surround is ideal for rooms with period decor.

Each section is crafted from high-quality Carrara marble, carefully selected for its stunning appearance and gorgeous veining. The marble’s off-white tone adds to its charm, evoking an authentic Georgian aesthetic. In the main image, the piece below the fireplace is a very old slab of marble—and this new fireplace blends seamlessly with it, creating a cohesive and elegant look.

Each surround features a 75mm rebate, making it suitable for a wide range of installations, including use with cast iron inserts. If an insert is not being used, the opening can be boarded out, as shown in some of the gallery images. In these examples, a vermiculite board has been used, although alternative materials are also suitable.

Alternatively, we offer a pair of Carrara marble rebate strips, measuring 75mm x 910mm, designed to neatly fill the side gaps. These can be easily fixed in place by your installer using adhesive. This option is ideal if you prefer not to board out the fireplace opening.

• 1 x Marble Fireplace. The fireplace will come in 4 pieces that will be expertly packed inside a strong crate
• 1 x generic fixing kit is included with the fireplace; however, please note that individual fitters may have their own preferred methods for securing or bonding the surround. We strongly recommend that the fireplace is installed by a qualified professional to ensure it is safely and correctly fitted.
• The fireplace has a 75mm rebate on each leg to allow the fitting of fireplaces (see main description) 
• Optional extra - 2 x 75mm x 910mm Carrera marble rebate strips for the side
• Hearth / Stoves etc shown in picture is not included, along with the strip across the front. The listing is for the fireplace itself, shown on its own in the gallery images and drawings

Marble fire surrounds are very heavy and can be fragile. While they are extremely well-packed to prevent damage during transit - and it is rare for issues to occur during delivery - they can be damaged if not handled carefully during installation.

We understand it may not always be possible to inspect the goods before signing, especially when items are securely and thoroughly packaged. However, we kindly ask that all items are fully unpacked and inspected within 24 hours of receipt.

If you notice any damage that is not consistent with the natural characteristics of the marble, please notify us via email within this 24-hour period. Any issues reported within this timeframe will be resolved promptly and at our expense.

Please note: Damage reported after this 24-hour window may not be covered, as damage can occur during handling or installation. Ensuring the surround is professionally installed will help prevent such issues.
