Very pleased with my new Ecosy+ Rock midi - it looks even better than in the picture and is easy to use. The ash tray is easy to remove & clean. cracking little stove. some of the seem quite narrow and i picked this one as it looked a bit wider. it's just the right size for my fireplace and hearth. throws out loads of heat, just trying to get the air flow right, so it's not too hot! very sturdy and being cast iron throughout, hold the residual heat incredibly well. sitting room was still warm and the stove warm to the touch this morning after burning smokeless nuggets last night.
First time I have a woodburner in my life so I am not an expert. 15-20kg assorted dry wood can heat up 100m² for 20C. Is that too much wood, I don't have a clue. At the beginning if I wanted to slumber it the main air control bearly done anything the effect took so long after adjusting. Today I discovered that that main air vent assembly was a bit sloppy and after fixing it it's changed a lot on tha whole burner.
It works! And it works well. It is still fairly new and I have only run it aggressively once. The heat output is good and the after burner worked really well.
The reason for 4 stars is because it is very difficult to clean. The photo shows the aftermath of getting the Ash out and lighting it. I washed the hearth this morning! It is impossible to get the Ash out of the fire bars without spreading it everywhere.
Plus the tool set needs to include tongs!
