I sent for this base brick as it hadn’t got one with the stove. I was a little confused at first because the shape was a little off and bigger than the base of the stove.. that’s when common sense arrived and told me what to do.
Remove cast grate, log guard, ash pan, steel support and fire bricks. Then fit the base bricks (two halves) in the bottom of the stove,, to which I add, was a perfect fit. Then put all the bricks and log guard back in, leaving out the steel support, ash pan and cast iron grate.
And there you have it! Perfect.
