About The Lunar

This advanced wood burning stove has been designed by our sister company Ecosy+ of Hampshire. Ecosy+ stoves is a long-standing stove manufacturer and its models are used on a daily basis by stove professionals and self installers alike. Having sold tens of thousands of stoves, Ecosy+ has utilised all they have learned over the years and are constantly changing and improving their designs. 

The Lunar 5 is a versatile and elegantly designed pedestal stove, ideal for both freestanding installations and larger fireplace settings. With a power rating of 5kW, it means no air brick is required in the room for the majority of installs. However, it does have a flexible heat output range of up to 7kW, making it suitable for a variety of room sizes and heating needs. The stove features innovative touches, like it long push-pull handle, mounted on an ergonomic chrome bar. No twisting, just a simple push and pull. Inside, durable ceramic bricks enhance heat retention and add to the stove’s overall efficiency. The bricks are also much harder and durable than the standard vermiculite alternative. 

The Lunar 5’s pedestal design sits atop a robust tubular steel base, raising the unit for a refined and elevated look. Crafted from high-quality steel with a cast iron door, the stove is built to retain heat effectively while enhancing any space with its sleek aesthetic. The large ceramic glass window offers a clear view of the flames, maintained by a superior air wash system that directs air over the glass to keep it clean.

Designed as a multi-fuel stove, the Lunar 5 allows for burning both wood and smokeless coal, with a spacious firebox accommodating larger logs. It also includes a thick, galvanized ash pan with a convenient handle, making maintenance easy and efficient. With these features, the Lunar 5 is not only visually appealing but also built for reliable, eco-conscious performance.

Heat Output Range

The Lunar has a 5kw nominal output which can make installation a lot easier, as no air brick is required. However, it benefits from a maximum output of just under 7kw meaning this stove can be suitable for a large number of spaces from small to large.

• Option: Ceramic glass is not covered under the guarantee for any stove on the market. Ceramic glass is fully heat resistant but will break if struck with a log, or similarly hard object. This glass is expensive, but for a small fee we are offering to guarantee it for a full year. This covers any accidental chips or cracks and photographic evidence will be required. This covers one claim only, not multiple breakages

5 Year Guarantee

This covers the stove's body and not the internal perishable parts like grates and fire bricks. Guarantee is activated when the stove is invoiced. 6 digit number on the top of each invoice is the warranty number. For stove to be covered it must be installed by a HETAS / OFTEC engineer or signed off by building control.

Stove Construction

The Lunar is a "hybrid" stove and its body is constructed from quality Q235B carbon steel that has been chosen for its plasticity, toughness and weld-ability. The door is made from very thick mineral cast iron that helps retain the heat and slowly release it into the room. Having a cast iron door also enables us to add features like the shallow curves on the top and bottom. The stove weighs over 100kg

This is a common question we get asked and we understand why people wonder how it can be done at such a good price. We are very unique in the way we operate and occupy the whole supply chain through the brands we own. Opposed to only selling to the trade we primarily offer trade prices direct to the end user. DEFRA Approved

The Lunar 5 Pedestal been rigorously tested and approved to burn wood in smoke controlled zones. Defra approved stoves with 5" flue outlets, like this one, can also be installed with a 5" liner. The Defra approval has been achieved by factory fitting a mechanical stop to prevent secondary air closure beyond the 8mm open position.
