With modifications it is a brilliant stove.
Remove the DEFRA stop.
Remove the side fire bricks and carefully cut them down so you are left with just enough to get to the bottom of the water jacket plus a bit higher at the front to hold the log guard in place.
Add a steel plate to the inside of the log guard leaving a small gap at the bottom. This can be held in place with 2 small bolts.
It will now heat the radiators, keep in at night, not drop too much ash on the apron. Does it all with only one air control and you don't need a glove for the door handle.

Great stove with an elegant simple design.
Efficient ordering and delivery.
Excellent technical assistance over the phone when we needed to change the flue outlet from top to rear, which involved removal of the grate, fire bricks and baffles (The online instructions were rather lacking hence 4 stars!)

Please note: these are designed for Kadai fire pits made from thin metal. If you plan to use them with a thicker cast iron fire pit, you may need to widen the joint gaps using a grinder for a proper fit.

This is my third purchase from stove world and I did have a slight hiccup with delivery but that was quickly rectified and the customer service from Tom and Kelly was the best customer service i have ever had. The elk wow, what a beast, my son as heata inspire 45 and the elk is just as good, if not better,as it's performance is that of a stove with a price tag far north of what the elk carries.
I am genuinely blown away just how good it is, and the stove world team are amazing.
Once again amazing product and service.
5 star plus..well done stove world.

I spent a long time deliberating between a number of different stoves from different companies and finally choose the Windsor 7. Extremely glad I did. The company communication was excellent as was delivery. The stove itself is extremely well built and heavy (in a good way)
Once lit I was surprised by how much heat it produced to the point where my girlfriend had to open the living room door.
All in all I highly recommend this company and the windsor 7.

2nd purchase from stoveworld uk. I initially bought a bioethanol stove for inside my new extension which is fabulous. My 2nd purchase was the outdoor stove. Extremely heavy and fabulous quality. I’ll be adding a second flue pipe to it to extend it out through my pergola.

We’ve had our stove for about 18 months now and can see that the brick lining gradually breaks down through use.
We imagine we may replace the lining at the end of each season or possibly every two years.
The bricks are very straight forward to fit are a very snug fit. The stove looks new again.
If you’re having your chimney swept professionally then you could ask them to fit the new bricks on completion.
