The Snug 10 is a traditional take on the ever-popular Snug 7, which has been part of the range for several years. This model is one of the most modern and cleanest multi-fuel stoves available in the UK. Comprehensive testing confirmed that this model exceeds all Eco Design parameters and subsequently achieved ClearSkies approval. No Compromise

The Snug 10 Classic is unique in the way it is able to cleanly and efficiently burn both wood and smokeless coal in the same stove when each fuel has opposing demands. Every stove will come delivered with a newly developed grate, designed for burning wood and smokeless coal in the most efficient way. Wood likes to burn on a flat base with air flowing over the top and minimal air underneath. The grate system allows you to make the grate flat for the wood. However, in contrast smokeless fuel likes lots of air rushing up from underneath. The grate system can facilitate this by opening the bars up, allowing direct primary air for the coals.

Technology

The hidden gem of this stove is its internal shell - effectively another stove inside the stove, where air is drawn in from the stove's rear, fed between these two layers of steel and precisely dispersed over the fire at the rear, through a series of holes inside the chamber. Having the air introduced high up in the chamber is an effective way of re-burning the initial smoke and pollutants created by the fire. The air that is not dispersed through these holes speeds up as it rises over the fire and is released like a curtain of air over the glass. This heating effect speeds the air up and is the most effective way of keeping the glass clean. In our attached video you can see the curtain of air descend on the glass as the vent is opened. The Snug 10 is a multi-fuel stove and has a primary lever on the left and secondary / tertiary lever on the right. Both levers are finished off with tactile cast black fittings. The Snug 10 is a "hybrid", stove and its body is constructed from quality Q235B carbon steel that has been chosen for its plasticity, toughness, and weldability. The base, top and door is made from very thick mineral cast iron that helps retain the heat and slowly release it into the room. The internal lining is vermiculite and the stove weighs over 90kg  This unit benefits from a tall and durable log retainer, unique baffle design, full fire brick lining and quality ash pan that has all four sides folded. As with all Ecosy+ products, it is well designed and engineered but not over-complicated. Too often stoves have over-complicated systems that do not stand the test of time and can be incredibly expensive and complicated to fix. This stove not only excels in the test lab but is easy to use and reliable in the real world. We confidently offer a 7 year warranty on this product .

DEFRA Approved

The Snug 10 has been rigorously tested and approved to burn wood in a smoke controlled zones. Defra approved stoves with 5" flue outlets, like this one, can also be installed with a 5" liner.

Crystal Clear Glass

As mentioned in the technology section the air is drawn into the fire low down at the stoves rear. The air races up and over the stoves chamber increasing in speed as it travels until it is unveiled and drops like a curtain over the stoves glass. This can be seen in action on the video attached at the start of this listing. This system is proven to be a very effective way of keeping the glass clean and clear of smoke stains providing the wood burnt is well seasoned.

7 Year Guarantee

This covers the stove's body and not the internal perishable parts like grates and fire bricks. Guarantee is activated when the stove is invoiced. 6 digit number on the top of each invoice is the warranty number.For stove to be covered it must be installed by a HETAS engineer or signed off by building control.

It is an independently assessed endorsement that your stove exceeds all of the latest UK regulations. We fully support the government's EcoDesign directive to ensure all stoves comply with strict environmental measures.

Laboratory Tested

Any stove that has a clearSkies accreditation has been demonstrated to meet scrupulous safety standards for carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions as well as environmental pollution rules that limit the emission of particulate matter (PM) and organic gaseous compounds (OGC). And that's just the lowest of the clearSkies ratings!

Exceeds All Standards

The Snug 10 Classic has been awarded the highest possible clearSkies mark. The Number 5 tells you it is approved by Defra, the goverment's Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs. Furthermore, it has been tested under laboratory conditions to be even more environmentally friendly than EcoDesign stoves. A rating of 4 means reducing CO, PM, OGC and NOx by a factor of 15% better than the EcoDesign pass mark. And the rating of 5 indicates an additional 15% environmental improvement.
